Ladakh located in the northern most state of India and is bounded by the Kunlun mountain range in the north and the Great Himalayas to the south. It is the highest raised ground of Kashmir and spans the Himalayan and Karakoram mountain ranges as well as the upper Indus River valley.
It is not just the picturesque beauty but also the adventure of travelling to Ladakh. Since, it is the highest plateau of Kashmir the high altitude can quite literally take your breath away. It is an adventure planning and executing a trip to Ladakhi land.
It takes about 4-5 days from the Indian national capital Delhi to Ladakh on a bike or by car. But many find biking/driving to Ladakh absolutely exhilarating and say that the journey in itself is an unforgettable experience.
Another popular trek is the Chadar Ice Trek where you get to trek on a frozen ice river in Zanskar. Also the Pangong Tso is a famous natural attraction. This is a lake in the middle of the cold dessert and is 134 km long.
